PAID ADVERTISING & PAY-PER-CLICK (PPC)

PAID ADVERTISING & PAY-PER-CLICK (PPC)

You click to watch a YouTube video and an Ad video pops up…you can skip it after five seconds.

You are searching for something on Google and you get sponsored Ads atop of your screen.

You’re Inside your Facebook messenger App and you see a sponsored Ad.

You are browsing the Internet and on the right hand side column you see images of items you were viewing on Amazon.

You have a Facebook page and Facebook keeps telling you “boost post for $3” and “you can reach xxx thousand people…”.

Ads, Ads, Ads, everywhere you go on the Internet! Where is it coming from?!

Everything I mentioned above is an example of Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising or Paid Advertising.

There’s really no limit to where you can run Paid Advertising nowadays.

Google Adwords, Facebook Ads, Youtube Ads, Bing Ads, Yelp Ads, Display Advertising, Retargeting, and many other.

What is Pay-Per-Click (PPC)?

PPC stands for pay-per-click, a model of internet marketing in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. Essentially, it’s a way of buying visits to your site, rather than attempting to “earn” those visits organically.

For example, if we bid on the keyword “Landscape,” our ad might show up in the very top spot on the Google results page.Every time our ad is clicked, sending a visitor to our website, we have to pay the search engine a small fee. When PPC is working correctly, the fee is trivial, because the visit is worth more than what you pay for it.

In other words, if we pay $3 for a click, but the click results in a $300 sale, then we’ve made a hefty profit.

Why PPC and Paid Advertising is Important to your Business?

Pay per click advertising can generate traffic right away. It’s simple: Spend enough, get top placement, and potential customers will see your business first. If folks are searching for the key phrases on which you bid and you’ve placed a well-written ad, you will get clicks the moment the ad is activated.

With Paid Advertising, for example Facebook Ads, you can reach customers and audience who aren’t even searching or looking for a particular product or service.

Let’s say you have a restaurant in downtown Los Angeles. You can send Facebook Ads for a lunch special for everyone who lives or is in a 5 miles radius from your restaurant Zip Code…whether they are looking for a restaurant or not!

This all sounds great and sounds like a lot of fun, BUT PPC Advertising and Paid Advertising is difficult!

There are steps after steps involved before an actual Ad is Live.

There’s a lot of strategy and technical steps to get it all configured in a way that is optimized for conversions, and most importantly, be able to track all the information and report on it.
